Whether it's to give some background to the world you're about to dive into, offer up a crucial morsel to the plot you're unaware of yet, or just to preview where you'll be going on the journey that begins with the turn of a page, the introduction can serve an endless amount of purposes.
Book reports still strike terror in my heart, as they evoke thoughts of necessity, and forced reading, and obligation. Reading of my own accord does nothing of the sort; it is an escape as well as a passion, driven by the hunger for learning and broader perspectives.
"Lost in the Words" is my own way to share these books, to offer my perspective, (for whatever it's worth,) and hopefully, just hopefully, inspire others to find the joy in reading.
Whether the works are stories, biography, theology, religion, classics, fiction or non-fiction, I'll be vomiting my two-cents on these pages.
A striking difference between this blog and my other blog, Drawn Out of Ordinary, is participation.
As of right now, while I still have hope for humanity, I ask for conversation. I do require that any comments and conversations to be respectful and contributing in nature. Comments will be moderated, and should anything other than respect rear its ugly head, it will not be tolerated.
This, of course, will be subject to change, should I find my blog trolled by ignorant douche bags who have no idea what it's like to live a real life, interact with real human beings, and who've never spoken an encouraging word in the entirety of their miserable lives.
